Too powerful. It uses a lot of electricity and a 20 amp circuit is not always available. It runs very hot and you seldom need that high a temperature. It comes with fittings for the discharge air. Seemingly well made, and easy to use. That high a temperature requires caution.

This heat gun is essential for all households. Obviously, it gets very hot and takes a while to cool down so keep away from children. I like the different nozzle attachments to send the heat in specific directions. The handle is comfortable, which is important as I have severe arthritis in my hands. My only issue would be that it have a kickstand of some sort to allow it to cool without lying it down.

This heat gun didn't do anything before I plugged it into an electrical outlet, then it was full of hot air!All jokes aside, this is a basic heat gun that I'll be using for electrical shrink wrap and similar household uses. The three position switch located where a trigger would be has positions for off, low, and high. The fan speed is lower at the low setting and higher at the high setting. It is a simple two temperature heat gun but the two temperatures/fan speeds should be enough for my uses. It heated up quickly and blew a lot of very hot air! The high setting is very hot so be careful (as with all power tools). There is a collection of different metal nozzles included (see the second to last picture). I included a picture of the very brief user's manual that came with the heat gun, so that after I lose it I will be able to refer back to this review to see what it said (LOL).A heat gun is good for removing stickers from things since the glue used usually gets weaker with temperature. Another household trick someone told me about was that when you have something that is stuck like a light bulb or pipe, heating outside can loosen it up due to the thermal expansion of the material. While this trick can be done with a common hair dryer, a heat gun on its low setting is probably a better tool but the high setting is overkill for this.

Works great and heats up quickly for a cordless tool.

I've seen a number of youtube videos where people were able to use heatguns to do things that are more difficult, or impossible without a heatgun, so I felt it was time to add it to my own toolbox.First, if you've ever tried removing price stickers/labels glued to boards bought from the hardware stores, the heatgun solves that quickly and eliminates the scratches I've previously been adding to the boards. A little heat applied to the stickers and they come right off.Second, when trying to set up a vacuum / dust collection system in the garage where I have multiple saws, a router, and sanders. Each device has a different sized dust port and trying to get all of them connected via PVC pipes given their differing inside / outside diameters was quite the hassle. But with the heatgun, the ability to allow the connections to be ever so slightly re-sized eliminates the need to add upsize/downsize converters. And perhaps the greatest accomplishment of the heatgun, was that it allowed me to separate a PVC connection (glued) for the pool filtering system, where the pipe exits from concrete within the pool shed. No room to cut / re-attach with another PVC joint. Instead, I was able to apply heat to the pipe connecting into the joint, and remove the pipe (which was blue glued). I was able to make the repair and re-use the existing joint that is virtually flush with the cement.Note: Using the heatgun with plastics will result in terrible / toxic fumes being offloaded, be sure to use adequate protection and ventilation. The two heat settings (low / high) are ample for my needs, as well as the supplied attachments that help focus the heat where needed.I've added many tools to the tool box over the years, and I realize now that I should have added this long before adding a bunch of other much less useful tools.Highly recommend the heatgun for your toolbox.

The TaskStar Heat Gun is a versatile powerhouse. With a wide temperature range and six nozzles, it’s perfect for everything from crafts to paint stripping. Fast heating and safety features make it a top choice for DIY enthusiasts. This heat gun has quickly become an essential tool in my arsenal.

When I first started using it, I was suspicious regarding the highest temperature they claim. So I tested the heater on its highest setting and it reached only 225 F. I had to go back to my Wagner corded heat to finish the job.

This is a budget heat gun that would work for a weekend project or the DIYer, but it’s not built well enough to be a daily driver. This gun gets hot fast. I have no way of verifying the wattage or the temperature, but suffice it to say that it gets hot. However, there’s no holder or kickstand to rest the gun on when you’re finished using it. I also found it troubling that so much smoke poured off this gun after I turned it off the first couple times. I’ve resorted to turning it to the lower setting for a few seconds before turning it off so it has a chance to kind of cool off. With the cheap build quality, lack of a holder or kickstand, lack of a case, and lack of storage for the attachments, this heat gun should be about $20 at the most. At $40 this is not a good value.

  • I purchased this item and it came missing pieces I am sending it back and rebuying the same product and it’s costing me $60 more why would I buy the exact same item for $60 more that is ridiculous and the delivery dat is a week and a half away. Why should I have prime. I recommend don’t buy the item and don’t purchase prime it doesn’t help what so ever. I spend a lot of money on Amazon

They won’t let me return it as the 1st one was missing parts and battery. They replaced it and it is not capable of doing what it is said to do. My advise is do not purchase it

Well made heat gun. industrial look and feel to it. Heats up fast. Comfortable grip although a bit heavy. i thought or hoped it will be smaller for smaller jobs.A couple of drawbacks.1. It doesn't have a kick stand or a resting feature. So when you are working with it and you are finished with the task, or need to pause you have no way to rest the gun for cooling or keep safe it but to place it on its back with the extremely hot nozzle facing up. Which it is unstable and can be easily tip, causing burns and/or0 fire.2. No storage container like a case or bag. There are a bunch of nozzles for different tasks and now where to store and keep together.
