This works great & I appreciate being able to vary the temperature
Good quality product! Bought it for my motorhome to be use for winter camping in case my water filter or regulator freezes, I recommend it! Order from Amazon.com!
Bought this item to wrap my soaps and as it came i tested it out. Heat level is good and very easy to use. Easy to handle. Cord length is good also. Just bought it so not sure how it will keep up but so far so good
I'm not an expert in drying tech, so consider this a layman's opinion. I needed a heat gun to apply heat to a cell phone and loosen the glue holding the back of the phone on. If you check the Internet you'll see all kinds of videos from kids that do this sort of do-it-yourself repair on their devices. It beats paying to upgrade when you don't want to, and I like the idea of not giving into the phone companies that have decided they're not going to make it easy to keep your existing phone.Anyway, since it was my first time doing this I went really slowly and started at the lowest heat setting. I like that this device comes with a dial to modify the heat level. The rocker switch in the handle also lets you choose between to speeds of air.Yes, it's sort of a glorified hair dryer, but I'll take it and not have to bug family members to borrow their items. Anyway, the project was successful; I was able to heat up the phone safely and eventually pry off the back and replace the battery. If I had any concern, it was that the documentation claims the heat gun goes from 112 F at the low dial setting and low speed fan and escalates from there. Supposedly this starting temp is sufficient to restore viscosity to the glue. But I found I had to raise the dial to about 4 before the back of the phone started loosening up enough for me to get a pry tool into it. It would indicate this heat gun may not be quite as strong as advertised, but it does work and probably would be sufficient for most purposes. It was also very affordable so I plan to keep it.
This things gets really hot so be careful to not have it near your skin. I use this to clean up embroidery orders and it works baby. Only thing I’m made about is that I didn’t get it years ago. Highly recommend.
I am a potter and I needed this gun to dry clay. When I need to work on it go to quick in the dryer on some glasses I like the way it stands up when I’m not using it. Like the ingestible temperatures and it is very easy to hold. The price also seemed very reasonable.
Got it to shrink electrical connections butt ends and sheaths. Found out you could use it to remove rust. It's a hoot. Heats up quickly and does its job without fuss. Good heat output and good amount of air flow. Glad I purchased.
I used to use a hot air station to remove IC's but it took a long time for the IC chips to be removed from the board but with this heat gun it only takes about 30 to 40 seconds and the chip is undamaged. I don't think I'll ever go back to a hot air station again. Make sure you warm up the board you are working on before applying heat. Great price, fast shipping, well packaged.
Did the taillights tint and chrome delete and this made unwrapping so easy! Never failed once
Used for replacing a phone glass back. Worked well and quickly headed the adhesive without damaging the Phone
