  I got this heat gun to help make artisan cables. For the price, I wasn’t expecting very much. The quality of this item really surprised me though, when I took it out of the box it just felt sturdy in the hand.I really like all of the attachments it comes with, it makes doing certain tasks easier than using the main “nosel” not sure if that’s what you would call it but.It also isn’t super loud, a bit quieter than my hair dryer. I was pleasantly surprised as I was thinking something that gets so hot would be louder.If you are worried about it getting hot enough… don’t. This thing can get HOT. Especially on the level 2 (II) setting. I had no trouble getting multiple types of plastic to melt and heat shrink shrunk very easily.One thing to note is that the metal end remains hot for a few minutes after you turn the gun off. I recommend leaving it set on the back arms with the metal pointing up after use to avoid any possible damage to your work surface.Overall I am incredibly pleased with this unit. It does everything I need it to do, and it does it better than I expected. If you’re on the fence, just give this one a try. I don’t see the point in buying a more expensive heat gun when this one exists. It is just so great.

  It does what it’s supposed to do. I use it for soy candles and mostly use the same attachment. Great for the price. I even dropped it a couple times, it still works fine. I would buy again!

  What I love about this heat gun is it functions right out of the box without any assembly. The weight of the heat gun is not bad, but I can't imagine holding a heat gun this size for long periods. The flow of heat is adequate. The recommended distance to hold the heat gun is 3 inches from the object. It worked just fine at shrinking the shrink wrap. I can't wait to see how it handles paint stripping. The heat gun has two settings which is okay for my needs. The only negative would be the attachments are pretty sharp on the ends, so be careful when handling. Overall, a great product that is made in the USA.

  This works really good love the options for changing the flow of the heat, have used it for shrinky dink wire connectors, and for drying paint on projects. Very happy with this and the 2 options for heat.

  I must say I am quite pleased with this purchase. I have tried many other heat guns before that just did not pack the punch that this one has. This has dual temperature settings for 750 w. And 1500 watt basically 572 degrees Fahrenheit and 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. It comes with four tips that can be used for many different things including paint scraping, applying heat shrink, and wood burning. This does not appear to get overly hot in the handle and base. it does seem to be quite contained to the tip. It does have a seat which is flat against the back so it will not catch anything on fire when it's not in use. This does come with a pretty decent instruction manual. In regards to the tips they seem to fit extremely snug and take a little bit of effort to actually get removed which is great because you don't want them flying off while it's in use. This gun is made in China but backed by a company here in the United States. This product does conform to UL standard 499 . I am surprised on how high quality this actually is for a Chinese product. Most of them are cheap look cheap and are made out of cheap materials with this product you can tell that there was a lot of thought and workmanship behind the quality of this item. It is not overly heavy and does have a decent feel to it. It does have a very powerful blower in it which was another thing I was quite surprised about. Although I have only use this twice I will say that it does heat up rapidly quick which you would expect from any heat gun and does cool down relatively quick. Check back in about a month and I will update this review regarding its longevity and my opinion on if it will be worth it to use as a daily use or even by daily use heat gun. So far I am quite impressed with this unit and I am giving it 5 Stars across the board. As I am using this as a daily use heat gun I am going to put it through extreme test as most of the use is going to be for wood burning and applying heat shrink

  I initially wanted a smaller heat gun but this one was great deal. One of my main concerns was how large and loud it would be but it was neither. There are 2 modes so the low mode I found to be really quiet it worked like a charm.

  This is not a miracle product or a piece of junk. It is a heat gun that does heat gun stuff like blowing hot air and burning you if you touch the no no zone. FYI no no zone is shiny.
