I was under the assumption this gun came with a case- it does not. No attachment(s) either. A case would have been nice, but aside from that, this is a great heat gun. Temp control dial is very dynamic and I love the 2 fan speeds!
I love wen they are the best budget tool to buy
hot gun
The varied heat setting is nice to be able to start at a lower temp to remove bubbles without risking burning or curing the resin or melting/damaging your mold. The high and low air pressure strength also makes it nice to use either to push around the resin or leave it relatively undisturbed depending on what you’re trying to do.But it’s a little heavy for using after an extended period of time and it draws a lot of power. My lights actually slightly flicker when I use it even on the lower setting.Overall I’m pretty pleased with this.
This was a gift for a crafter friend and she LOVES it. She has told me three times, on separate visits, how much she loves this heat gun. She says it's fast and effective, and "I love it! Thank you so much!".
I have loved using this heat gun. The control has made getting the best temperature for each job I have used it on easy. Perfect for shrink tape/wrap.
It's a cheap gun that shoots heat. So if all you need is something to shrink some wire wrap and melt some quick-solder connectors, it does the job. It doesn't get up to temperature super quickly, turning the temperature knob is a bit awkward since it's flush with the body rather than sticking out, and the speed switch is at an awkward position to hit with your thumb while holding it...but at the same time it was the cheapest one from a reputable manufacture I could find, so can't complain too much.
I haven't tried maxing it out yet, but the lowest setting is about room temperature, had to turn it up 2/3 of the way to heat shrink tubes. I have a hard time believing this will strip paint or thaw frozen pipes. Generally a fan of WEN tools for their price point/quality, but I think they oversold this gun's capability.
first use was fine- was a tester and only for 30 seconds.second use, 1-2 minutes and there was some smokey coming out.third use, 4 minutes max, never even used the high speed/temp level, only the low level each time and it smoked some in the last min and died. and now the return window is shut so I'm stuck with a broken item that doesn't work and can't return? Contact me if there is something that can be done, but this isn't right.
Does not blow hard enough
